Welcome to HallyuTones, a site dedicated to Korean music, music production and the artists behind all of your favourite hits.
Our aim is to go beyond the expected. Instead of just focusing on the biggest acts, we endeavour to showcase the full spectrum of Korean music – from pop acts, to bands, to indie acts and even traditional music.
We specialise on in-depth reviews of Korean music, interviews with Korean artists, producers and songwriters, and analysis of musical themes within the K-Pop genre.

What attracted her to ult group NMIXX was their cinematic universe…(and Lily!). Now having a space to discuss her interest in depth, she hopes to shed light on deserving artists but also the hard work that goes beyond the artist.
Writer – Tshego is a new writer coming all the way from South Africa. They have been interested in music and its ability to shape people and society for as far long back as they can remember. Tshego developed their love for K-Pop groups through following bands like One Direction and Fifth Harmony. Initially being led to 2NE1, their tastes have ventured all the way to groups like WOOAH and the more obvious BTS. The intersections of culture, language and fandom have increasingly become topics of interest for them and they hope to continue unraveling the mysteries and mastery of K-Pop with HallyuTones readers, step by step.
