Meet Sunny Lukas, a multilingual pop and R&B artist from Hong Kong. His music brings together early 2000’s vibes and hip-hop music. Combining the sound of modern city life with his broad cultural influences, he aims to create soundscapes that surprise and draw in the listener.
The range of themes within his songs is very varied, showcasing confidence alongside vulnerability, and intertwining romance and rhythm. His songs are instantly relatable, drawing in an ever-growing international audience to his work.
Who is Sunny Lukas?
Sunny Lukas is an artist with both musical talent and creative vision. He is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, and speaks five languages (English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, and Thai).
He has also competed on both The Next 2023 and Rap of China 2024, showcasing his skills in singing and rapping.
His biggest hit songs include 异地恋 (Long Distance) with 1.87 million Spotify streams,沉溺 – 说唱版 (Addicted – Rap Version) with over 300,000 streams, as well as social media hits like 2025’s SITUATIONSHIP, which drew attention for it’s acoustic vibes.
Beyond his own music, he has worked on songs for numerous artists including songs like ‘Roommates’ by Junggigo, and 晨星 & 孤舟 by VAVA, where he served as lyricist and producer.

Sunny Lukas’ latest release was the single album ‘DIOS MIO’, released on February 27th, 2026.
The single blends smooth R&B with jazz undertones and Latin music influences. The lyrics focus on falling in love in a city springing to life with meaning.
Most notably, Sunny expertly switches between 3 languages: Spanish, English, and Korean. This gives a multicultural aspect to the track that captures interest while also reflecting the themes of the song. As the languages used are diverse, so are the emotional layers of the song, drawing on feelings of discovery, passion, and vulnerability. Love transcends borders, music transcends language, and lyricism reflects emotion.
“DIOS MIO” explores a Seoul city romance, as Sunny Lukas mirrors the feelings of falling in love with a girl with his growing love for the city. The lyrics describe romantic walks along the Han River, and secretive dinner time dates. Similar to his interests in soundscapes, the track paints an image of the cityscape, layering love over a Seoul city backdrop.
“Dios Mio” translates directly to “My God” in Spanish, however the title holds an even more personal message, as it subtly hints at the name of the girl that he is falling in love with. Therefore the title has a double meaning, exploring both strong emotion and intimate feelings.
Musically speaking, the track reflects Sunny Lukas’ distinctive sound, bringing together his R&B and hip-hop influences and combining these with a warm and romantic vibe. The track is at once both relaxing and exciting, smooth and rhythmic, hooking listeners in from the opening seconds. The trilingual lyrics cement the cross-cultural perspective, creating a rich tapestry at the core of the song.
Speaking about the song, Sunny Lukas revealed the inspirations behind the track: “This song is about perspective, when you fall for someone, everything changes. The streets feel warmer, the lights look brighter, and the entire city becomes part of your love story. Singing in Spanish, English, and Korean felt natural because love itself doesn’t belong to just one language.”
“DIOS MIO” is Sunny’s latest step as an independent global artist, drawing together multicultural influences and personal insights to craft his own sound. He continues to make a name for himself through cinematic visuals, cross-genre production, and authentic, personal lyrics.
