HallyuTones has excitedly been following the work of rookie boy group 1VERSE since their powerful debut track. In November, we were lucky enough to catch the members for a chat while they prepared for, and carried out their North America fanmeeting. In this discussion the members spoke about an upcoming tour, and their eagerness to release new music soon. The moment has finally arrived!
1VERSE (pronounced universe) will be releasing their first comeback track, ‘Wide Awake Before I Fall’ (WABIF) on the 21st of January 2026. The track is said to be a more sentimental track that follows their hard-hitting debut song, ‘Shattered’, which focused on the feeling of the world falling apart around you. By the end of this song, we’re sitting wondering which way to turn and how to heal a broken heart.
‘WABIF’ adds on to the story. A “sexy drill” track, the group’s first comeback song pulls listeners into a thinking space. The lyrics present a moment for reflection. It’s a call to contend more personally with human emotions that we’re often told are bad to experience but never taught to navigate like listlessness and apathy.
With contributions from members Nathan and Kenny (who had a hand in writing the lyrics), this new chapter is yet again proof of 1VERSE and their commitment to forming a real, long-lasting connection with their audience.
Not only are they starting off the year with a new release, Seok, Kenny, Aito and Nathan will be flying off to start their first tour stopping at cities as chosen by 5tarz (the fans). The tour will include stops including 11 shows in the U.S. and Canada during January and February, followed by another 10+ shows in Europe during April.

For the many 5tarz who’ve been looking forward to more music and activities from the members, this is it. With the group’s pre-debut track ‘Multiverse’ making it to the Best K-pop Songs of 2025 in Billboard Brasil, the members are showing no signs of slowing down.
Although fans may have to wait a little bit longer to meet with eldest member, and rapper, Hyuk, the team will continue to carry the 1VERSE torch forward. With 5tarz, this galaxy is shaping up to be one of the brightest in the sky.
