[NEWS] CIX bring the ‘THUNDER’ to the Recording Academy’s GRAMMYs Global Spin

Hello and welcome back to HallyuTones – always focused on sound, stage and substance.

As K-Pop has grown as a genre, it has been incredible to see K-Pop artists bring their talent, energy and performances to a variety of prestigious international stages.

The latest group to be given this honour is CIX. Their name stands for ‘Complete In X’, as each of the members’ uncertainties come together to create a complete group. This boy group is comprised of four members – BX, Seunghun, Yonghee, and Hyunsuk (member Jinyoung left the group in August of 2024).

Recently, the group’s talent was showcased through the Recording Academy’s GRAMMYs Global Spin Stage, where they performed their latest single, ‘THUNDER’. This song serves as the title track for their latest EP, ‘THUNDER FEVER’.

This performance encapsulates so much of what I love about this genre. From seamless harmonies to sharp choreography, this stage is energetic, exciting and captivating. Their eye-catching white suits contrast with flashy visual effects to leave the crowd stunned, and as the lyrics state, ‘bring them to life’. Their live vocals stand out powerfully against the high tempo instrumentation, complemented by dance moves that electrify the audience and bring the stage to the next level.

Global Spin is therefore the public platform for CIX – creating a fresh opportunity for the quartet to cross cultural boundaries and showcase their talent on the global stage. K-Pop is a genre that has so much to offer, and CIX remain a shining example of what makes it so special.
